Planning a casino party is not as difficult as it may seem. These simple steps will help you come out a winner.
Step one: How many guests do you think you will have? The general rule of thumb is one table for every 12-15 guests. Of course any party can use any combination of games but here are some basic guidelines. (You can see the equipment on our games page.)
Under ten guests How about Texas Hold'em poker lessons and a mini tournament? Or a simple blackjack table for fun and entertainment?
10-30 guests Blackjack is the most popular game we offer by far. We recommend a blackjack or two combined with a poker or a mini craps game for parties up to 30 people.
30-80 guests Now is the time to bring out the big guns. Our twelve foot craps tables will make you feel like you walked into Vegas. Add an assortment of blackjacks, a poker table and even roulette for variety and you are good to go.
80 guests and over We build on the foundation of our 30-80 guest recommendations and add specialty games like Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker and Three-Card Poker.
Poker Tournaments from 1 to 100 tables are available. We are permitted through the Gaming Control Board to conduct tournaments for non-profits. Ask about our flexible payment plans for charities.
Step two: Location, location, location. Private homes are great but don't rule out local restaurants, clubs, rec centers or other venues. We can even help you with renting tents, heaters and more. You are limited only by your creativity!
Step three: Save the date! Make your reservations with West LA Poker as soon as you have the date. Weekends fill up fast.
Step four: Consider customizing your party. We offer custom poker chips, cards and even custom felts for the tables. Visit our party favors page for your choices.
Step five: Decorate and have fun!!!
Remember these helpful tips when planning your casino party:
- Gaming is a social activity. Try to keep the tables in the same area. - Remember to leave enough room for players and dealers around each table. - Lighting is important. Be sure you have enough for players on every table to see their cards. - If you are holding your party outside in the evening try to spend some time in the location before the party. Look for lighting issues, clear walkways, restroom access, electrical outlets and any safety hazards. - Keep in mind that parties can be disruptive to pets. Secure them in a quiet area to avoid stress for them (or you). - If neighbors will be effected by noise or parking let them know in advance you are planning a party. This simple step may avoid a lot of problems.
If you have any other concerns just let our staff know. We have done this a time or two. Take advantage of our experience.
